The initiators of VISION ZERO are committed to health and safety at work, including on the road. They have also signed up to the European Road Safety Charter.
Work-related traffic accidents (commuting accidents and accidents during travel for work) are one of the leading causes for work-related deaths. In Luxembourg, 25 commuting accidents had a fatal outcome between 2019 and 2024.

With ‘Little efforts’, the new Road Safety at Work Campaign illustrates with humour and realism these everyday situations that everyone can relate to. Through realistic and humorous scenes from everyday life, it reminds us that these constraints when commuting to work are a small price to pay compared to what they help to preserve: a safe work-related journey.

By promoting these everyday actions, the campaign shows how everyone — employers and employees alike — can take concrete steps to reduce the risks associated with professional and commuter travel.
Wearing a seatbelt, ignoring calls while driving, staying sober behind the wheel, maintaining your vehicle, raising awareness among your teams through training, planning your journey in advance, or wearing a helmet when cycling to work: these universal actions, which are easy to identify and implement, become lasting habits when encouraged collectively.
Because protecting employees begins well before they arrive at work, the Road Safety at Work Campaign invites employers and employees, as well as those responsible for workplace safety to adopt good habits on a long-term basis in order to reduce the risks associated with business and commuting journeys.
